SMEs Springboard Fair Hosts 108 Enterprises In Abuja

45

River Plate Park, Abuja was a beehive of activities last Saturday as 108 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) showcased their wares at a fair tagged SMEs Springboard.

One of the participants and CEO of Jasper by Skaigreen, Diane  Gbefin-Gofit, said the fair was interesting.

“The networking has been spot-on and awesome. Different links to something big. It’s not mainly about sales today but the kind of people you are exposed to and what you can do with opportunities. The SME spring board provides that,” she said.

Another participant, Fawzah Alimi of Crafty Art said patronage was fine but wished it could be better. “Sales are picking up, we know at the end of the day, we will make more sales,” she said.

Convener of the fair, Helen Asimegbe, said it was aimed at helping SMEs to sell their products as well as providing opportunity to build synergies.

“So we are using this platform to bring people out to come and showcase the fantastic product and services that they have to offer. And also for them to be able to market themselves, synergise and collaborate with other SMEs. My passion is to see SMEs thrive and succeed in whatever they are doing.”

The co-coordinator, FCT MSMEs- One- Stop-shop, Amana  Joel,  said the event was impactful and urged MSMEs  that have not registered their products to visit the Abuja Enterprise Agency’s office in Jahi to do so.

The Enterprise Development Centre, GEN Nigeria, Access Bank as well as Stylemark Mall were part of the sponsors for the event.
